RAW MATERIALS

Where are the raw materials procured from for MEISTER jewellery?

You can wear our jewellery with a clear conscience. We do not compromise when it comes to the responsible procurement of our raw materials and all our precious metals come from recycled sources with certified supply chains. Our diamonds come from conflict-free sources and our partners are committed to adhering to our strict sustainability standards at all times.

This means that both we and our partners comply with the Code of Practices of the Responsible Jewellery Council, a non-profit organization that promotes ethical, social, and economical processes throughout the supply chain for jewellery goods and ensures the respect of human rights – from the mining of precious metals and diamonds through to their distribution.

In the same way that your love feels like a cast-iron certainty, MEISTER rings are made from forged, nickel-free precious metals that will truly stand the test of time.

Which alloys are used?

The alloys that are specially developed and certified for MEISTER guarantee a level of comfort unique to MEISTER.

YELLOW GOLD

Yellow gold is the classic precious metal and is also a timeless favorite for wedding rings at MEISTER. It is available in several alloys, with Au 750 and Au 585 being particular customer favorites thanks to their warm coloring. MEISTER uses high-quality, nickel-free alloys.

WHITE GOLD

Over the last few years, there has been a significant increase in demand for white gold. Whether plain or in a bi-color combination, the quality and the color of the precious metal in this alloy is predominantly determined by its palladium content, which lends the item of jewellery an elegant and modern look. MEISTER uses nickel-free alloys with a high palladium content.

RED/ROSE GOLD

Red gold and rose gold are popular with those who are looking for something special. The warm and harmonious shade especially comes into its own when combined with the alloys Au 750 and Au 585. MEISTER only uses homogeneous, nickel-free alloys.

PLATINUM

Platinum, in its alloy Pt 950, is the purest and most resistant alloy for wedding rings. With alloy Pt 950, 950 out of its 1,000 parts are pure platinum, giving it a unique hypoallergenic property – ideal for people with sensitive skin. At MEISTER, this precious metal is exclusively used in its alloy Pt 950 form by specialist platinum smiths.

What happens with leftover precious metals?

At MEISTER, all the leftover precious metals are carefully collected during processing, to make sure that they are not released into the environment. Even the water from the hand basins and the waste water system is fed through a filter system to capture all precious metal residue.
