An engagement ring? Make sure it has diamonds! A diamond solitaire is a timeless classic when it comes to engagement rings. The single central diamond symbolizes the unique quality of your love. Nowadays, eternity rings have also become an established favorite for engagement rings. Both designs have one thing in common – the heart of the engagement ring is its diamond(s).
As the sole manufacturer of its wedding rings and jewellery, MEISTER has its own diamond lab at both its manufacturing sites. Each diamond is individually assessed by highly qualified experts according to strict criteria, the four Cs: carat, color, clarity and cut. In its engagement rings, MEISTER exclusively uses natural diamonds from certified sources, generally procured through the Kimberley Process, and is subject to the Code of Ethics of the VSGU (Swiss association of goldsmiths and watchmakers).
Until a few years ago, “white” precious metal alloys such as white gold and platinum dominated engagement ring designs. These precious metal alloys showcase an engagement ring’s diamonds in a very special way, perfectly emphasizing their brilliance. Since then, yellow gold and red gold/rose gold alloys have steadily regained popularity. When it comes to skin allergies, it’s important to ensure the alloys are high-quality and nickel-free. With the MEISTER brand, this is a matter of course and is always guaranteed.
When considering the many different options, you will enjoy expert support from the specialists at MEISTER right from the outset. The 3D Ring Boutique includes an extremely modern form of virtual advisor. Discover the various options for the design, alloys, surfaces, diamonds and engravings.
Traditionally, engagement rings are worn on the second-smallest finger, or ring finger. In Germany, Austria and most other European countries, engagement rings are usually worn on the left hand, then are transferred to the right hand upon getting married. In Switzerland, southern European countries and the US, you wear your engagement ring on the ring finger of your right hand, then transfer it to your left hand when you get married. Changing the ring from one hand to the other often requires resizing the ring, since our fingers are not always the same size on each hand. Our tip: right from the start, get your ring made for the hand you’ll be wearing it on after you get married.
Adding an engraving such as the date of your engagement, an individual love note, or the name of your partner makes your engagement ring a truly unique piece of jewellery and a symbol of your love.
Now’s the time to start thinking ahead – MEISTER engagement rings are designed to fit perfectly with your future MEISTER wedding ring – a small but subtle detail that makes a big difference and guarantees optimum comfort.
