As the sole manufacturer of its wedding rings and jewellery, MEISTER has its own diamond lab at both its manufacturing sites. Each diamond is individually assessed by highly qualified experts according to strict criteria, the four Cs: carat, color, clarity and cut. In its engagement rings, MEISTER exclusively uses natural diamonds from certified sources, generally procured through the Kimberley Process, and is subject to the Code of Ethics of the VSGU (Swiss association of goldsmiths and watchmakers).

WHICH HAND SHOULD I WEAR MY ENGAGEMENT RING ON?

Traditionally, engagement rings are worn on the second-smallest finger, or ring finger. In Germany, Austria and most other European countries, engagement rings are usually worn on the left hand, then are transferred to the right hand upon getting married. In Switzerland, southern European countries and the US, you wear your engagement ring on the ring finger of your right hand, then transfer it to your left hand when you get married. Changing the ring from one hand to the other often requires resizing the ring, since our fingers are not always the same size on each hand. Our tip: right from the start, get your ring made for the hand you’ll be wearing it on after you get married.

SHOULD I GET MY ENGAGEMENT RING ENGRAVED?
